Shamanic Counselling

Hagbard - Shamanic Drumming for the winter Solstice at Glastonbury Tor 2015

What is Shamanism?

Shamanism is the oldest spiritual practice known to man. Shamans believe that everything has a spirit. A Shaman mediates between the visible world of form and matter and the invisible worlds of energy and spirits. The Shaman or Shamanic Practitioner’s job is to help restore and maintain balance. You do not need to believe in spirits or Shamanism to receive a Shamanic treatment.

What is Shamanic Counselling?

Shamanic counselling is counselling provided by your own spirit-helper.  Through direct contact with your spirit-helper, you are able to receive support, guidance, insights and answers to your questions or problem.

During a shamanic counselling session, you make an inward journey to contact your spirit-helper, to ask a specific question.  What you experience in response to your question, is then discussed with the shamanic practitioner.

What can I expect?

Shamanic counselling normally involves four to six sessions.
During the first session you will be taught how to ‘shamanic journey’ so you can meet your spirit-helper.

In subsequent sessions the shamanic practitioner helps you formulate the questions you want to ask your spirit-helper.  Each journey is spoken out loud and recorded.  Then together you and the shamanic practitioner come to an understanding of the answer your spirit-helper has given.

What are the benefits of Shamanic Counselling and what can I use it for?

Because your spirit-helper provides the counselling you have direct access to a wealth of wisdom and knowledge.  Shamanic counselling can be used for all sorts of physical, psychological and spiritual issues including: healing, decision making, depression, problem solving, bereavement and spiritual development.
