Scroll down to see detail of each course or workshop.\u00a0Alternatively, use any of the above title links, to go straight to that page.<\/strong><\/p>\n This year I’ve decided to introduced two options, for taking the beginners Traditional Thai Massage course.<\/p>\n Option One is a Two Week<\/strong>, non accredited version of the course, aimed at lay people interested in learning Traditional Thai Massage, who are only interested in treating their partner, family and friends.\u00a0The \u00a3600 fee, for option one, reflects the fact you will not receive a Diploma certificate at the end of the course.<\/p>\n Option Two is a Six Month<\/strong>, full accreditation Diploma version of the course, aimed at people who are interested in becoming professional Traditional Thai Massage practitioners. The \u00a3900 fee, for option two, reflects the fact you will receive a professional, accreditation Diploma certificate – After the course has finished, you will need to offer, 3 two hour Traditional Thai Massage treatments, to 10 people. Offer Hagbard a two hour treatment. Then pass a written and a two hour practical exam. On successful completing all of the above, you will receive your professional Diploma certificate.<\/p>\n There is no time limit, to complete the post course, Diploma certificate requirements.<\/p>\n Traditional Thai Massage Course Student<\/p><\/div>\n Option One<\/strong> – of the beginners Traditional Thai Massage course, involves 60 hours of teaching. Option one, allows you to practice what you are taught each morning, during the afternoon. Teaching will only happen on the first eight days of the course. The last two days of the course, will be dedicated to working with a partner, from the course.<\/p>\n Option Two<\/strong> – of the beginners Traditional Thai Massage course, involves 72 hours of teaching. Option two requires attending six, 2 day-training weekends, once an month. After each weekends training, you will have a month to practice the different techniques you have learnt during the weekend. This allows you to slowly build, over a six month period, a complete beginners Traditional Thai Massage routine.<\/p>\n Traditional Thai Massage Course Practice<\/p><\/div>\n Both options, of the beginners Traditional Thai Massage course, are practical and theoretical. You will be taught about the powerful, energy balancing, healing art of Traditional Thai Massage. \u00a0On completing both options of the beginners Traditional Thai Massage course, you will be able to offer a full-body Traditional Thai Massage treatment.<\/p>\n After attending the Six Month beginners Traditional Thai Massage course, you will be required to complete 3 two hour Traditional Thai Massage treatments, on 10 people. You will then need to offer Hagbard, a two hour treatment. After succsefully completing this, you will be eligible to enter the final written and two hour practical exam. On successfully compleing all of the above and passing the final exam, you will receive your professional Diploma certificate.<\/p>\n Hagbard – Ayurveda Thai Yoga Massage<\/p><\/div>\n If you plan to work as a Traditional Thai Masseur, in order to get professional indemnity insurance, which allows you to work as a professional Traditional Thai Masseur practitioner, you will need a certificate in Anatomy and Physiology. If you already have an Anatomy and Physiology certificate, please check with your insurer to see if it also covers you to work as a Thai Yoga Masseur.<\/p>\n Hagbard and Avena ‘Mind & Body’ do not offer an Anatomy & Physiology course.<\/p>\n All course and workshops are facilitated and taught by Hagbard. All Avena ‘Mind & Body’ – Treatments – Courses – Workshops – are offered with Metta – love and kindness, through an open heart.<\/p>\n Both courses are limited to eight places<\/strong>, so as to maximise your learning experience.<\/p>\n The Option One Two Week Course<\/strong> \u2013 runs Monday \u2013 Friday 10:00 \u2013 17:00<\/p>\n The Option Two Six Month Course<\/strong> \u2013 runs once a month, on a\u00a0Saturday & Sunday 10:00 \u2013 17:00 with a two month break, half way through the course<\/p>\n May 14th \u2013 25th \u2013 2018 Course Fee: \u00a3600 = \u00a360 per day<\/p>\n May 5th \u2013 6th \u2013 2018 September 1st \u2013 2nd \u2013 2018 Course Fee: \u00a3900 = \u00a3150 per weekend To register for a course A \u00a3200 deposit is required for the Option One course<\/strong> Shamanism is the oldest spiritual practice known to man. Shamans believe that everything has a spirit. A Shaman mediates between the visible world of form and matter and the invisible worlds of energy and spirits. The Shaman or Shamanic Practitioner\u2019s job is to help restore and maintain balance. You do not need to believe in spirits or Shamanism to receive a Shamanic treatment.<\/p>\n Learning how to Shamanic Journey, allows you direct access to the Spirit World, where you will meet your Power Animal and Spirit-Teachers, who is able to offer you advice, information, guidance, wisdom and support, whenever you need it.<\/p>\n One of the training rooms I use for the Shamanic Journey course<\/p><\/div>\n You will learn about Core<\/span>\u00a0Shamanism and\u00a0experience Shamanic Journeying, which is a fundamental aspect of Shamanism. \u00a0You\u00a0will do six journeys that include meeting your Power Animal, your Spirit-Teacher, a Spirit of nature and journey to discover the three Shamanic worlds.<\/p>\n One of the venues I use for Land-Spirit Shamanic courses<\/p><\/div>\n All course and workshops are facilitated and taught by Hagbard. The Medicine Wheel – Ancestral Ritual & Ceremony Workshop<\/p><\/div>\n You may well ask, what is a Ritual & Ceremony and where dose it fit into my life. Well, we are creatures of habit and most of us perform different kinds of Ritual & Ceremony throughout our lives and often on a daily basis.<\/p>\n For me, attending a Ritual & Ceremony is about the coming together of people, from all walks of life, to share,\u00a0witness and affirm\u00a0an intentional experience, which includes celebrating together and honouring, something, someone, ourselves, a Solstice or Equinox, our ancestors or a whole list of other things…<\/p>\n My last Medicine Wheel Ritual & Ceremony, focused on a Journey to our Ancestors for a personal and group teaching. Afterwards, many people who attended, told me how powerful their personal teaching was – we had not shared them. The group teachings were did share. They were very powerful and there was a them to them.<\/p>\n A year on from facilitating that Ritual & Ceremony and people are still talking about the impact it had on them and their life. There are many different kinds of Ritual & Ceremony that can enhance and even change your life.<\/p>\n My interest in Buddhism, rekindled my interest in Ritual & Ceremony. Though the first really life changing Ritual & Ceremony I attended, was in 1990 and facilitated by Paul Rebillot, who is sadly no-longer with us. He created a Medicine Wheel \u2013 Ritual & Ceremony, as part of his seven day, \u2018Owning the Shadow\u2018 course.<\/p>\n That experience introduced me to, the powerful impact a Ritual & Ceremony can have on your life and how it can even change it forever!
